In celebration, I am posing a challenge to you, fellow Ficleteers!

I want you to write a ficlet that is “hauntingly beautiful.” You can interpret that phrase in any way you choose.

Your story should be one ficlet long in length. In it, you should establish characters and set a scene that can be really felt by the reader. Grab our heartstrings and shake them!
